Whoever manages the board in Boxinger connects it. Each board can post to one channel.
- 1Open your boardIn Boxinger, open the board and go to Settings › Integrations.
- 2Tap “Connect to Slack”Slack opens: pick your workspace and the channel, and tap “Allow”.
- 3DoneA first message arrives in the channel. From there you choose which notices to get and can send a test message.
It only posts in the channel you choose
Boxinger asks for a single Slack permission: posting messages in one channel. The channel address stays only on our server and is never shown in the browser. Privacy Policy
What data does Boxinger read from my Slack?
None. Boxinger can only post in the channel you chose: it doesn't read messages, people or other channels.
What is sent to the channel?
The idea's title, the beginning of its description, its category, whether it's from the Community or the Team, the name of whoever posted it, its votes and the link to it. Opening the idea requires access to the board in Boxinger.
My workspace requires approval for new apps
From the same Slack screen you can send the request to your admin. Once they approve it, tap “Connect to Slack” again.
How do I disconnect it?
In Boxinger, Settings › Integrations › Disconnect. We delete the channel address and notices stop. To remove the app completely, also remove it from Slack's app settings.
Which plan includes it?
The Pro, Team and Enterprise plans. Each board can connect one channel.
